In the West, we often think of yoga as one thing; a form of movement or exercise. One of my biggest passions as a teacher, is helping to gently shift that perspective. While movement (asana) is an important part of the practice, it’s only one piece of a much larger and richer tradition.
After 8 years of practice, 6 years of teaching, and over 500 hours of training, the one thing that I feel consistently passionate about is the yoga practice that happens off the mat: yoga as a way of living. It’s an ancient philosophy, a framework for navigating life’s inevitable challenges with more clarity, compassion, and ease. In my teaching, I aim to share yoga as a whole practice; combining movement, meditation, breath work, and philosophy in a way that feels grounded, relevant, and supportive to the individual I am teaching.
From that space of awareness, yoga becomes more than movement, it becomes life practice.
